Our Environment

Karen roses pays keen attention to the environmental impact of its operations with emphasis on:

Biodiversity programme:
Karen Roses has trees, shrubs and vines as an integral part of its landscape, providing wildlife habitat, beauty, shade and maintenance of the natural plant balance. There are several indigenous and exotic trees across the farm.
To ensure its sustainability, a tree nursery programme as part of an established Environmental Management Plan has been established which will produce trees for the community as well.
To this end, a wide variety of over 10 indigenous tree species have been planted and the project continues to grow each year.
This has been a key contributor towards achieving the green campaign as far as environmental stewardship is concerned.
